I am a language trainer and translator specialising in Japanese and Chinese language and culture. I teach Japanese and Chinese language courses in Groningen and Amsterdam, offering both private lessons and small group classes tailored to the interests and goals of each student.

Alongside teaching, I work as a translator of Japanese into English and Dutch, with a particular focus on literature and cultural texts. My work includes translation for cultural institutions, events, and literary projects.

My academic research has focused on the work of Yukio Mishima and the challenges of translating literary style across languages. This background informs both my translation work and my approach to teaching language in its cultural context.
